it started with a flame.
I started tattooing on fruit in 2020 after a mentor of mine mentioned how great I’d be at it. One night, he allowed me to do a small stick and poke flame on his forearm, and the rest simply fell into place. He was right, I knew at that moment that tattooing was for me.
I’d go on to tattoo him multiple times, and truly fell in love with the craft. I’ve had the opportunity to tattoo on friends, and family, and through the years, I have been overwhelmed with the support, love, and trust that all have shown.
2020 was the year to explore new passions and hobbies, but tattooing was something that has been brewing within me since I got my first piece of ink back in 2010. I was always curious and eager to learn more about skin, how ink stays, and bleeds, and all the details that would carry me through this journey.
There are many times that I thought that I could have started earlier, but life had other plans for creativity and took me down many beautiful paths before the transition onto this one. I remind myself that everything happens in its own time, and I know that now is my time to ink.
